For quite some time, I've avoided posting anything to this blog. As mentioned previously, I don't like to talk about ideas ahead of time because I lose power. About 3 months ago, I started a very simple project. Given that it's almost complete, it's time to talk.
Since marrying my wife Jerilyn, it's been quite apparent to others and to myself that she's the one who bears the personality in the family. My lack is made up by her abundance.
She's also an idea person, coming up with all sorts of projects, activities, and crafts. She writes and has aspirations of publishing books. She's had an article or two published in magazines. Nothing big has happened yet, but in her I see great promise.
Three months ago, after spending the previous year reading all sorts of things including articles on self-publishing, I decided it was time to have her blog. Better to get her ideas out in the open than wait for me to come up with something.
So we created a blog named Use Well The Days. It's implemented using Community Server 2. The layout was done by Ronni Sweet, a friend whom I worked with on another website.
This is not only Jerilyn's chance to get her work out in the public. It's also my chance to play with things like Community Server, Google Adsense, and Feedburner. And a chance to package her writing in a concise, useful website.
